I thought I'd post my comment from psych-folk here as well, so folks know this music is still alive and ongoing:
Golden Ring (and Ed Trickett in particular) are among my all-time favorites. The Patons, Sandy and Caroline, who run Folk Legacy Records (http://www.folk-legacy.com/), keep all the Golden Ring albums continuously in print as CDs. They always come to NEFFA (New England Folk Festival, April 25-27, 2008 Mansfield, Massachusetts http://neffa.org/ )to play, sing and sell records, though they're getting older every year. Those members of the Golden Ring who are still alive are also likely to show up at NEFFA. I highly recommend being there if you can. The Patons always warmly share what they know and love at the periphery of the festival.
