DANNY AND THE NIGHTMARES
Sorry for lack of posts, it is hard to get motivated
when it feels like no one is out there - in space.
say something, Ginsy is in space too boys and girls.
I have realized there are many Daniel Johnston
tapes/cd's that are hard to find on blogs.
He is an artist who definitely needs support,
but not everyone can afford it, and I want some more stuff,
so please share if you have anything.
Hopefully I can upload some tapes pretty soon.
Without further adieu,
DANIEL JOHNSTON & THE NIGHTMARES!!!
Here is a 7" I found somewhere (Amoeba in LA or Mississippi Records in PDX)
side A screams for the love of jesus
side B makes the monsters stop what they're doing for three minutes so they can dance

on a platter
The Platters were an early soul/R&B recording act from Los Angeles.
Their songs are on the softer side, but there are quite a few gems on this album.
Each side has a similar formula, but if it works for you,
then here is an hour and a half of swayingly good soul jams.
Not as good as Aretha posted earlier, but if you need some more soft jams to feel
a wide array of emotions, get this quick!
this was like 104 megabites so i had to do two, surry.

HEY NOW HEY (THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SKY)
Hello folks, sorry for the delay.
The other day I was looking through a thrift pile of records when I found this record.
It is really spacey, soulful, and very, very grooving.
This is probably the first Aretha Franklin record I have listened to fully, yet I feel this may be her best work.
Leonard Bernstein composed the second track "Somewhere". There is a lot of experimental jazz sounds, thanks to
Quincy Jones. This record seemed to be ahead of its time
so much so, that I think this able will probably only be truly appreciated in at least 2012.
A psychedelic/soul gem.
enjoy
Also, this is probably some of my favorite artwork that I have ever seen on a record.
