HELLO THERE OUT OF SPACERS
Hope losing yr minds has gone well.
Here is yet another soundtrack to losing your head.
Find a comfy chair, take a few hits of LSD. Sit back. Turn up Bill Holt's experimental masterpiece DREAMIES and tryp out.
Bill Holt became wealthy and was inspired by the work of Bob Dylan/John Cage - So he took a year off and locked himself in his basement with a moog synth and a 4-track.
The result is what you are hearing.
ENJOY.
STAY ABOVE THE EARTHS ATMOSPHERE, IT'S NOT SAFE DOWN THERE!!!

music inspired by LORD OF THE RINGS
The majesty presented on the cover of the vinyl represents the mystical proportions of which this record divulges into.
A friend of mine mentioned this while i was watching over his record store, of course I put it on, but i was astounded by the psychedelic sounds that arose from the stereo.
This is some serious psych-prog-keyboard-70's music.

DANNY AND THE NIGHTMARES
Sorry for lack of posts, it is hard to get motivated
when it feels like no one is out there - in space.
say something, Ginsy is in space too boys and girls.
I have realized there are many Daniel Johnston
tapes/cd's that are hard to find on blogs.
He is an artist who definitely needs support,
but not everyone can afford it, and I want some more stuff,
so please share if you have anything.
Hopefully I can upload some tapes pretty soon.
Without further adieu,
DANIEL JOHNSTON & THE NIGHTMARES!!!
Here is a 7" I found somewhere (Amoeba in LA or Mississippi Records in PDX)
side A screams for the love of jesus
side B makes the monsters stop what they're doing for three minutes so they can dance

HEY NOW HEY (THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SKY)
Hello folks, sorry for the delay.
The other day I was looking through a thrift pile of records when I found this record.
It is really spacey, soulful, and very, very grooving.
This is probably the first Aretha Franklin record I have listened to fully, yet I feel this may be her best work.
Leonard Bernstein composed the second track "Somewhere". There is a lot of experimental jazz sounds, thanks to
Quincy Jones. This record seemed to be ahead of its time
so much so, that I think this able will probably only be truly appreciated in at least 2012.
A psychedelic/soul gem.
enjoy
Also, this is probably some of my favorite artwork that I have ever seen on a record.

dragging an ox through water ep
Dragging an Ox through Wate is a project of a fellow from PDX named Brian Mumford. This is experimental folk at its finest
Here are some reviews...
"Dragging an Ox Through Water finds enough twists, turns, and aural experiments to damn well bring one of the best shows in town."
-portland mercury
"Favorite band: Dragging An Ox Through Water"
- New York Times "The Moment" M. Blash feature
"profoundly moving, circuit-bending noise-folk"
- Portland Mercury (top 5 local shows of 2007)

GENEVA JACUZZI - KOOZE CONTROL
Ariel Pink's sister? Maybe.. his Lover? I don't know.
I am pretty sure it is neither of these
Geneva Jacuzzi and Ariel Pink could be related,
their music seems to come from the same warped universe.
Warped minds are brilliant to listen to on record
This album has brutal honesty seeping through its cd-r case
hand crafted and very worth the $18 dollar price.
I saw her play with Ariel about a month ago
(
check back a few posts for pictures.....)
Gothic techno, with the catchiness of Madonna.
please support geneva jacuzzi

A NEW ERA
This is the first of what I hope to be many posts introducing
the outside world to music I have found to be otherwise unavailable.
First is a record I found in a box upstairs the music department at school.
After watching
yesterday I was feeling somewhat inspired, after smoking a joint
and rummaging through the pile of records I have on my desktop
I found a record I had yet to give a listen to.
After the first note my ears and body were trembling.
This was one of the most touching experiences I have ever had listening to any record.
The sorrow in the death chants, the joy in the love songs.
Everything on this album is truly magnificent
and I am glad to bring it to others ears.
After a long and tedious process ( I now have a much greater respect when people say they ripped something from vinyl, it is a hardship to do this) I scanned the book that came along with it and is attached in the folder.

please any feedback would be amazing.
